Coleman began his career in turf at the age of 18, working as a crew member at Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club in Haines City, Florida. Later, Coleman would go on to intern at TPC Sawgrass before eventually moving to Starkville, Mississippi to attend Mississippi State University and earn his bachelor’s degree in Agronomy. While attending Mississippi State, Coleman worked at several local golf courses and landscaping companies.

After graduating in the spring of 2015, Coleman moved to Naples and began working at Royal Poinciana Golf Club, eventually becoming Superintendent and IPM/Landscape Manager of the Cypress Course. Coleman currently sits on the Everglades Golf Course Superintendent’s Board of Directors and is an active participant in the chapter. Coleman holds several certifications including Best Management Practices for the Enhancement of Environmental Quality on Florida Golf Courses, Dale Carnegie Management Certification and Florida Turf & Ornamental Pesticide Applicator Licenses.

Coleman is a third generation Floridian and was born and raised in central Florida. He married his wife, Kyla, in February of 2019 and in his spare time enjoys spending time with family, hunting, and riding his airboat.
