Hugo Munoz

Sous Chef 

Hugo is a seasoned culinary professional with over a decade of experience in high-end resort and private club kitchens. A 2010 graduate of Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology’s Culinary Arts program, Hugo began his career at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort, where he honed his skills in banquets, grilling, and high-pressure sauté stations. He went on to work at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort in both banquets and the Gumbo Limbo kitchen, and most recently served as Lead Line Cook at Bay Colony Beach Club and Sous Chef at Tarpon Cove Yacht Club.

Originally from South Texas, Hugo’s culinary style is deeply rooted in Spanish Mexican traditions, though he enjoys blending regional flavors and ingredients from various cuisines. Outside of the kitchen, Hugo is a devoted husband and proud father of two boys. He and his family share a passion for baking, especially their favorite holiday tradition: making a Yule log together. For Hugo, cooking isn’t just a profession; it’s a meaningful way to bring people together.
